Meet K-9 Trainer, Yoshi

"Allo and Privyet!

My name is Yoshi. First and foremost this business has come from the Bible verse found in Proverbs 12:10, " Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast."

I was adopted and came here from Russia when I was 7 and I remember meeting my first dog, a black lab named Coalby, and I instantly fell in love. I didn't speak any English but Coalby and I...we just clicked. He slept on the bed and I slept between the wall and the mattress. I knew my first night in America that dogs were going to be my best friends.

I became a Marine right out of high school and had a chance to handle some bomb dogs in Afghanistan. These were animals, beasts, heroes on four paws. I was blown away at their obedience training and their love for their handlers. Even the greatest love of all, when one lays down his life for another (John 15:13).

I was medically retired in 2015 and instantly jumped into school at American K9 Interdiction where I was certified as a K9 handler and trainer. Dual purpose bomb and drug dogs, EOD/IDD K9's, tracking, room and vehicle searches and basic to advanced obedience. I've trained K9's during my time in the Corps for veterans with PTSD and K9's that help with ambulatory veterans. I've watched K9's in law enforecement that have tracked fugitives and performed drug sweeps on the side of the interstate. The more I watch dogs, the more I'm fascinated with them.

I feel the LORD has given me a special gift to read dogs just a little bit differently than most people and I've worked over 15 years to enhance and get to know exactly what that gift entails. I've trained K9's from the east coast to the west. I've worked K9's in government buildings to back porch training against squirrel chasing. All this to say, I had a service dog during one of the hardest periods of my life and she made my life so much better.
